Business Class of Marcanti College

In de vierde klas doen de leerlingen van onze Business + klassen mee aan verschillende t-MBA projecten van de Doga Schools in Istanbul. t-MBA is an innovative Education Model Offered by Doga School through all its high school campuses and also available to all interested schools around the world. The vision of the t-MBA Model is to create more platforms for teachers, students, professionals, parents and anyone interested in t-MBA to share ideas, projects, and enrich their global knowledge.

  1. The green tulp, door de leerlingen: Mariam el Boubsi, Btissame Ben Salah, Nesrin Rebai, Hicham el Ouachani, Amina el Hasnaoui, Nabil Cherigui

It is important to remember that we as humans are part of the environment. The unique feature of our project is that we deal with our school and the snack bar FEBO next to our school. We decided on involving FEBO in our project, as most of the students and teachers buy their food here during the breaks. Our goal is to encourage students to focus more on the environment by presenting new ideas that could possibly better the environmental situation of our school. To establish this we held a survey within our school and these outcomes of this survey have helped to come up with new ideas to improve the environment in and outside the school. The following are some of the ideas that we have in mind for the improvement of the environment around and within our school:

One of the ideas, is to place separate garbage bins within our school building in order to distinguish the garbage that is thrown away by students and teachers etc. For instance, separate bins for paper, plastic, glas, and other groups of waste.Use duplex paper for printing huge amounts of paperwork. We also thought of recycling  the paper, in this way we can save much more paper.

Classrooms and other rooms that work with light sensors which are sensitive to movement, this means that they only work on human – movement. Also we will interview important people such as the sub-director of the school who is appointed on this matter, the employees of FEBO and a few people around the neighborhood of the school as well.

  1. Doggy bag door de leerlingen: Nazli Kocabiyi, Jas Torres, Kübra Kahveci, Jeremiah Appiah-Asante, Ilayda Mutluturk en Sengül Tanir.

Our project is called the Doggy Bag. A doggy bag is made of recycled paper to use, particularly,  in restaurants for people who want to take away their leftover food. It’s not only made of recycled paper but also of aluminum. You can also reuse it or bring it back to the restaurant who will drop it for you in our container. you just have to pay only 10 eurocents.

It is environmental friendly because we use recycled paper instead of plastic bags. We also have motivational and inspiring quotes written on the doggy bags. it’s designed by students. it’s not expensive.

  1. Go for green door de leerlingen: Sherine Uitenwerf, Kawtar Mellache, Berkan Yigit, Fatih Ates, Seyma Köse, Amine Mert.

For our project  Go For Green we have invented  a three-piece container that gives a discount coupon when someone throws away in trash in the container. The three different objects that can be thrown away in these containers are paper, plastic and glass. It is very unique because you recycle things and get something in return. The advantage of this container is that less waste will end up on the street in the future. With the green button people will get a discount and with the red button people can choose to donate the discount coupon to orphanages.

Our project is special, because the idea is original. It’s a brand new invention. Our goal is to stimulate people to recycle more often, because we care about the environment.  We want to make people aware of this as well by providing them with a new concept that will make recycling more attractive. This way we hope to get people to think about the future of our environment by giving them the opportunity to recycle multiple things. Also, the best part of the container is that it is environmentally friendly and it has multifunctional. The best part of it is that you can donate your discount coupons to orphanages.
